Scheduled Days: Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays observed by the USPS on an as-needed basis. During onboarding, ARCs must be available for training on weekdays.

DRIVING REQUIRED: Applicants should have a valid state drivers license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised driving experience in the U.S. or its territories, or in U.S. military installations worldwide. A personal vehicle suitable for use may be required.

Postal Service employment is conditional upon meeting medical, eligibility, and background check requirements. Offers are contingent upon meeting these conditions.

SALARY RANGE: $20.38 per hour, paid bi-weekly

Functional Purpose: Using dynamic route descriptions, delivers packages on Sundays and observed holidays. May also case, deliver, and collect mail and packages on Saturday along a rural route using a vehicle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Loads packages in delivery sequence in vehicle.
2. Delivers packages to customers along a prescribed route.
3. Sorts mail in delivery sequence for the route.
4. Receives and signs for accountable mail.
5. Loads mail and packages in vehicle.
6. Delivers mail and packages, collects monies and receipts, and picks up mail from roadside boxes.
7. Provides routine postal information to customers.
8. Returns undeliverable mail and submits monies and receipts to the post office.
9. Prepares time records and ensures mail security at all times.
10. May be required to provide a vehicle for delivery if not provided by the employer. ARCs are non-career employees providing rural route services, including delivery and collection of mail.

Desirable candidates may need to have a suitable vehicle and reside within easy commuting distance of the facility. If providing own vehicle, ARCs will receive an Equipment Maintenance Allowance (EMA). Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Carriers may need to load and unload trays and parcels weighing up to 70 pounds.
