Dunaway is a professional services firm established in 1956, with offices in Fort Worth, Austin, Dallas, Farmersville, Houston, Midland, and San Antonio. We offer civil and structural engineering, planning + landscape architecture, survey, and construction inspection services to public and private clients throughout Texas.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Working on a variety of projects with team members across the firm assisting with meeting project deadlines, preparing quality plans and exhibits and administration assistance. You’ll provide outstanding customer service in all aspects of project management, maintaining the client relationship and provide leadership, direction and encouragement to the other Landscape Architects and Designers to achieve profitable project production and a quality of excellence in the work that is produced.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Prepare drawings and exhibits that meet LOB standards, code requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Independently manage smaller projects with oversight from senior leadership.
  • Assist in the development and mentorship of junior staff in accordance with LOB standards.
  • Engage in frequent interactions with clients and contractors, ensuring effective communication and project alignment.
  • Review work produced by junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing work plans, fee documentation, and proposals for potential projects.
  • Develop client deliverables, including plans, graphics, and exhibits for presentations.
  • Get to work in a small office culture on project opportunities and in roles that allow for accelerated career growth.
  • Gain hands on experience, work with high performing teams and contribute to the betterment of an entire community.
  • Collaborate and work closely with Landscape Architecture team members and leaders across the firm on projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software, Adobe Suite, and 3D visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of Dunaway project management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

SKILLS:

  • Strong foundation in Landscape Architecture principles with proven industry knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and design expertise.
  • Professionalism in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in project task management, ensuring deliverables remain on time and within budget.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience.
  • At least 2 years of client interaction experience.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
