Position Summary:

Position Summary: This position supports the Adult Education & ESOL programs and is responsible for intake, assessment, goal development, registration, and enrollment of learners. The Adult Education / ESOL Administrator serves as a resource for intake staff and students and provides support from the time of application through enrollment and one year post exit. This position provides occasional evening and Saturday support during registration cycles. The Adult Ed / ESOL Administrator demonstrates sensitivity to and understanding of community college students diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and racial/ethnic background and may use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following are the functions essential to performing this job: 1. Resolve issues and instruct students through various self-service systems, including but not limited to PeopleSoft, myFCC, Blackboard, email, and Lumens. 2. Maintain current knowledge of and comply with state policies, initiatives, and trends (ex: assessment policy) 3. Maintain data confidentiality and integrity and ensure compliance with FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act and Title IX). 4. Respond to student information requests and inquiries via telephone, email, text, chat, and face-to-face. 5. Assist students in completing paper and online forms. 6. Demonstrate autonomy, discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment in all tasks, working effectively with minimal supervision. 7. Apply institutional policies and procedures.8. Manage and/or conduct the implementation of orientation, intake, and assessment sessions, including scheduling of staff to support events (in coordination with Intake & Assessment Specialists) 9. Proctor assessments and manage proctoring by other staff, as needed 10. Communicate with learners and instructors regarding placement, progress, and attendance issues 11. Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders at off-site programs about students, program needs or issues, scheduling, and other administrative matters 12. Implement programs managed enrollment process including scheduling events, managing enrollment, and documenting wait lists 13. Refer learners to support services and/or community resources 14. Collaborate with Adult Education and ESL team to develop and implement student retention initiatives including regular engagement with students via phone, email, and social media. 15. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree in relevant field2. Three (3) years of experience in Education, Human Services, or other student support roles. 3. Ability to converse in a language other than English (Spanish preferred)4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping5. Ability to provide a high level of customer service to a wide range of constituents in a diverse population of staff, students, faculty, community partners, and visitors

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
Possibility of evening and Saturday hours during registration cycles.
