Job Overview

• Entry level, Full?time rural route delivery in Vermont
• Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, and holidays observed by USPS as needed
• Hours: VARIES, with required weekdays training during onboarding
• Salary: $20.38 per hour bi?weekly

Responsibilities

• Loads packages in delivery sequence in vehicle
• Delivers packages to customers along a prescribed route
• Sorts mail in delivery sequence for the assigned route
• Receives and signs for accountable mail
• Delivers mail and packages to customers along a prescribed route or as an auxiliary assistant by vehicle; collects monies and receipts for accountable mail; picks up mail from customers roadside boxes
• Furnishes routine information concerning postal matters to customer
• Returns mail collected, undeliverable mail, and submits monies and receipts to post office
• Prepares appropriate time records
• Provides for mail security at all times

Qualifications

• Valid state drivers license with a safe driving record
• At least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger in the U.S. or its territories
• Personal vehicle suitable for use (if employer?provided vehicle is not assigned)
• Must be available for required training on weekdays during onboarding
• Non?career employee delivering and collecting mail along a rural route
