This role involves close collaboration with senior leadership, cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, operations, commercial), and external partners (e.g., auditors, investors), and includes oversight of both tactical financial processes and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and/or perform key accounting functions, including:
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Expense accruals and prepayments
  • Payroll/commissions processing and compliance
  • Inventory valuation and cost accounting (COGS, standard vs. actual costs)
  • Mentor and guide finance staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and present actionable insights to executive leadership.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning aligned with corporate goals.
  • Manage and support financial audits and deliver financial materials for board and investor presentations.
  • Perform financial modeling to support capital investments, equipment financing, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Assist and collaborate with cross-functional teams during financial/operational system migrations or software implementations to ensure accurate setup, data integrity, and process alignment.
  • Oversee compliance with U.S. federal and state tax regulations, including income tax reporting and sales/use tax filings; coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely preparation and submission of returns, and support tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Support financial and operational alignment across departments such as product development, manufacturing, operations and commercial teams.
  • Implement and improve financial systems, reporting tools, and automation where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP accounting standards and practical experience across a wide range of accounting functions.
  • Proven ability to manage full-cycle financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency for financial modeling, variance analysis, and data visualization.
  • Experience preparing materials for board meetings, investors, and financial institutions.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred) and ERP systems (e.g., Zoho, Progen, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in dynamic, cross-functional environments—ideally in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or manufacturing sector.
