About the Role

Tombolo is hiring a full-time Brand & Marketing Associate . In this position, you will work closely with the Brand & Design Manager to produce digital marketing content. This content encompasses a wide range of areas, including but not limited to: email campaigns, social media posts, website/homepage updates, and physical collateral for brick-and-mortar locations.

Your proficiency in image creation and video editing will play a crucial role in producing vibrant and engaging work, ensuring consistency in the Tombolo brand voice and visual language across the customer experience. Tombolo's design process is iterative and highly collaborative; you will continually refine your design and editing skills through teamwork and feedback. Digital and graphic design experience, specifically with Photoshop, is required , and experience with After Effects and social media content creation is highly desirable.

This is a full-time, paid position. Our preference is that the candidate is based in NYC and available to come into the office ~4 days per week. Remote candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Marketing Material Creation: Produce a wide array of visual assets, including graphic design, video editing, and motion graphics . Adapt product and on-model photography for various channels and applications. Create stills, videos and animations for social media, ads, and website content. Support the team in creating impactful email campaigns for product releases, event announcements, etc.

• Brand Voice : Develop a nuanced understanding of Tombolos visual language and be able to apply it to a variety of contexts. Become proficient in Tombolos lighthearted, sometimes irreverent POV and integrate it into visual designs. Become an expert on Tombolos product offerings, visually telling the story of each garment through design virtues and details.

• TikTok/Reels : Conceptualize, pitch, and produce video content for Tombolos social media channels. Leverage personal or professional experience in TikTok/Reels to inform Tombolos social media strategy.

• Creative Projects : The candidate will also pursue an array of long-term creative projects outside of the day-to-day design responsibilities that will serve as opportunities for their creative instincts to flourish. These projects are wide-ranging and include, but are not limited to: developing physical product catalogs, editing editorial video footage for ads, supporting product design, building the front end of new sections of our website, assisting on photoshoots, capturing and editing content at Tombolo events, and much more.

• Product Photography : The candidate will be responsible for liaising with our product photography studio on lay flat imagery. This responsibility includes organizing and transferringfinal photo samples, preparing briefs for photography requests, and further retouching imagery as needed for upload to the website.

The ideal candidate must :

• Be proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and basic video editing
• Be a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities, adept at establishing scalable creative workflows to manage multiple projects, ensure accountability, and deliver assets on time
• Demonstrate an instinctive, nuanced approach to design, layout, typography and adherence to brand guidelines
• Be able to embody the Tombolo voice to create marketing materials that strike a balance between charming and informative
• Be an outside-of-the-box thinker with attention to detail
• Have strong, effective communication skills
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design or related field
• Be legally eligible to work in the USA

The candidate ideally (but not necessarily):

• Has 1-2+ years of design experience (internship experience can be included)
• Has experience creating TikToks and Instagram Reels
• Has experience with Klayvio and Shopify
• Has experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Is experienced in creating engaging copy for different target audiences
• Has a passion for start-ups, storytelling, and fashion
• Has some retail experience

Location : New York City (hybrid)

Salary Range : $50,000 $70,000 + bonus eligibility + additional benefits (health insurance, product stipend, unlimited PTO for full-time employees). Actual compensation will be determined by skills, qualifications, and experience.
