Construction Accountant (Bilingual) Location Midlothian, TX :
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on technical accounting and financial reporting. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making processes.
Duties
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Interpret financial reports to provide insights into business performance and trends.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support private equity initiatives and governmental accounting requirements.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modeling, and reporting purposes.
- Stay updated on LIHTC regulations and compliance requirements as they pertain to accounting practices.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in technical accounting roles, with a strong understanding of governmental accounting principles.
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes and financial report interpretation.
- Experience in private equity accounting is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
