Job Description
Harford Community College is seeking a student-centered, equity-minded leader to join our Admissions team as Coordinator of Student Recruitment . This role is a key contributor in advancing our mission to empower students, support regional workforce development, and transform lives through education.
In this position, you'll design, manage, and implement all student recruitment efforts, while providing operational and supervisory support across the Admissions team. You'll engage diverse prospective student populations with cultural competence, drive early access recruitment strategies, and oversee outreach initiatives that support enrollment growth—including for international students as our Primary Designated School Official (PDSO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute student recruitment strategies aligned with institutional goals
- Serve as main point of contact for international credit students and act as PDSO
- Supervise professional Admissions staff and contribute to team leadership development
- Coordinate College outreach events and activities
- Collaborate on the creation of marketing materials and CRM/SIS system utilization
- Support assessment and evaluation of recruitment activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in college admissions
- 1+ year of supervisory experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to develop effective, inclusive recruitment plans
- Strong communication skills across diverse audiences
- Experience planning events and managing outreach programs
- CRM/SIS proficiency and strong data analysis skills
- Commitment to equity and student success in community college settings
Important Information:
- HCC employees must reside in MD or contiguous states (DE, PA, VA, WV, DC)
- U.S. work authorization required; HCC does not offer visa sponsorship
