Forklift Driver Job Description

Job Title: stand-up forklift
Location: Sterling Heights 48314
Job Type: 3 - 6 Months (Contract) then direct hire

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Candidates must be detail oriented and able to work independently. Shift hours are 6am – 230pm.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Driver for a contract position in Sterling Heights 48314. The role involves operating forklifts to transport materials, ensuring smooth warehouse operations, and maintaining safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
• Load, unload, and transport products to designated areas.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift forklift inspections, reporting any maintenance issues.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous forklift experience preferred.
• Certification: Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain.
• Safety Gear: Steel toe shoes required.
• Background Check & Drug Screen: Must pass a national background check and drug screening
