SUMMARY : Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, this position assembles and installs electrical parts (control cabinets, electrical boxes, etc.), and ensures proper electrical connectivity.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assembles and installs electrical part components (control cabinets, electrical boxes, etc.).
- Ensures proper electrical connectivity of all electrical part components according to specifications.
- Works with engineering to assist in the design and testing of new electrical systems.
- Completes assembly tasks on-time according to the time frames specified by the production supervisor
- Ensures quality of assembly work
- Informs the production supervisor of any delays or issues with any component or assembly
- Provides alternative solutions should any delays or issues that arise.
- Supervises helper's work and monitors the quality
- Directs all helper's work
- Monitors all helper's work
- Completes and maintains an accurate production schedule
- Assist and work with the engineering department to design and test new designs
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Stores parts/tools in the inventory room
- Ensures that all hazardous materials are properly stored and labeled
- Attends all training regarding OSHA standards
- Implements all OSHA required stands, including appropriate use of safety goggles, at all times
- Cross-trains on other production duties as requested by the production supervisor
- Adheres to work schedules assigned
- Other duties as requested
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: - One year certificate from college or technical school, OR
- 6 months to 1 year of experience, OR
- Combination of education and experience
- Ability to speak fluent English
- Ability to learn technical aspects of the business
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIRED: - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in the English language
- Ability to speak communicate effectively using the English language
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is frequently exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
