Job Description:

GDIT is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to help support the SACSS program in Chula Vista , California.

This is an onsite position, and no relocation assistance is provided.

Must be a US Citizen

Job Description:

• Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices on board Naval Vessels

• Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve moderately complex problems.

• Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.

• Modifies circuitry to improve performance.

• Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems.

• May provide operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel.

• Performs preventative maintenance.

• Participates in special projects, as required.

Requirements:

• AS Degree or equivalent (2 years)

• 5+ years of experience

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $32.84 - $44.42. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
