Paralegal / Legal Secretary – Criminal Law/Civil Law

Location: Redding, Ca
Pay: $20 - $31 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Part-time

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a paralegal or legal secretary with experience in criminal, or other field of law, to provide administrative and legal support. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, and document management to ensure efficient case handling.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, proofread, and file legal documents, motions, and correspondence
• Conduct legal research and compile case information
• Manage case files, court deadlines, and scheduling
• Coordinate with clients, courts, and law enforcement agencies
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation and hearings
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience preferred, but all levels of experience considered
• Familiarity with criminal and civil law procedures and legal terminology
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a self-starter
• Must have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Must be client focused
• Must be upbeat and pleasant
