  • Must live within 30 minutes of Baytown, TX.
  • Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and answering their questions in a warm pleasant and professional manner.
  • Being computer literate is a MUST. Preferably Imac, we don't use PC's. This job requires a lot of computer documentation so the healthcare provider can approve it. The MA does documentation and asks the questions to the patient but the healthcare provider has to approve it to ensure documentation meets all the standards of care requirements.
  • Bilingual/Spanish REQUIRED.
  • Very Important…..MUST have adequate child care. This means 3 different back up's for caring for children so missing work does not happen unless it is an emergency. Work starts at 7:50 AM and you must not be late. We open the doors at 8:00 and that means your area is ready to see the patient's when they come in, not that you get here at the time the clinic opens.
  • Help keep the clinic clean and organized.
  • Must have 2 years of recent experience with an EMR (electronic medical record) system.
  • Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization working efficiently with staff and available space.
  • Must have 2 years of recent experience in phlebotomy of drawing at least 3-5 patients a day and therapeutic blood draw experience with an 18 gauge needle. Good phlebotomy skills are imperative.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records (paper) and EMR system.
  • Keep account via Excel spreadsheet of the number of patients seen by you, time spent with patients, type, and that day's charges of the patients incurred that day that are seen by you so your production can be documented.
  • Contact via phone, email or text to remind patients when asked by management.
  • Maintains patient information is up to date and documented in our EMR system.
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team goals by accomplishing tasks as needed.
  • Able to work as a team as well as individually when needed.
  • At times text patients to remind them of their appointments and call and send texts to those who missed their appointment or have not come in a while.
  • Medical assistants will work directly with our healthcare practitioner to explain common aesthetic procedures we do, weight loss injections or medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations.
  • Clean and prepare examination rooms and general office prior to patients entering the exam room or the clinic.
  • Verifies patient information and assures the patient documentation is correct.
  • Update H&P in EMR System is imperative for each and every patient.
  • We work with Apple/Mac computers and iPads only. We will train you if you are not familiar with using a Mac.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measurements, and vital signs, EKGs, give injections, and document all information in the patient’s EMR chart
  • Give instructions to patients as instructed by the licensed health care provider.
  • Ensure all related reports, labs, and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment and presented to the health care practitioner before the patient arrives.
  • Be well educated and PROMOTE the different types of services we offer and know quite a bit about each service so you may be able to answer all of the patient's questions about our services.
  • Review documentation and assure all necessary steps has been made when calling the provider to the room to see the patient.
  • Keep a professional attitude and appearance as you will be the face of the company.
  • Reliable and punctual is something we take very seriously.
  • Be able to complete tasks given in a timely manner.
  • Have 2 years of experience in performing EKG's.
  • Fast learner and able to move at a fast pace.
  • Be able to work a 9-hour work shift. 7:50 AM until 6:10 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Must be available for Saturday shift from 6:50 AM - until 12:15 PM every other Saturday.
  • This is a full-time job but you will have off 1 day during the week.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 7:50 AM until 6:10 PM Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays
  • 6:50 AM until 12:10 PM Saturdays
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Saturday. You will have off on Wednesday.
  • We are only open 1/2 day Wednesday and Saturday
