About the Role

Our client is seeking a bilingual (Korean-English) General Contractor based in Salt Lake City, Utah , to support commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing permits, reviewing licenses, coordinating with local authorities, and ensuring compliance with state and municipal construction codes.

This position requires excellent communication skills in both Korean and English , and a strong understanding of U.S. building codes, permitting processes, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage general construction operations for assigned projects.

  • Review, prepare, and submit building permits and license applications .

  • Coordinate with local municipalities and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.

  • Communicate effectively with Korean-speaking clients, subcontractors, and inspectors.

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor performance.

  • Review architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy and constructability.

  • Ensure safety, quality, and timeline standards are maintained throughout the project.

Qualifications

  • Valid General Contractor License in Utah (required).

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial or residential construction management.

  • Strong understanding of Utah’s permit and licensing process.

  • Fluent in Korean and English (verbal and written).

  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Prior experience working with Korean construction companies or Korean-American clients.

  • Familiarity with municipal inspection systems and building permit software (e.g., Citizen Access, ePermit).

  • OSHA certification or related safety training.
