Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and equity programs for a global employee base of approximately 600 team members (70% in the US).
  • Manage, analyze, and optimize benefits programs globally, including 401(k) administration and coordinating open enrollment with brokers beginning in July. Present the benefits portfolio in September and ratify changes effective January.
  • Develop and maintain a robust compensation philosophy, ensuring competitive salary ranges. Utilize market compensation tools like Radford and Willis Towers Watson (WTW) to manage data and drive business decisions.
  • Oversee the company’s equity compensation plans, leveraging Carta to manage start-up equity programs efficiently and ensure compliance with global standards.
  • Build and implement job leveling structures, salary profiles, and pay transparency processes that align with company growth, global frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all processes related to benefits administration, compensation, and pay transparency comply with local laws and global governance regulations.
  • Lead and develop key team members, including a remote Benefits Manager and Benefits Associate, fostering a culture of collaboration and initiative. Provide direct report advisement to the CPO, Head of Total Rewards, and collaborate with People teams, including ER, Global Mobility, Immigration, and TA Teams.
  • Conduct audit functions (in coordination with the Payroll team in the Audit Department), evaluate current processes, and make strategic recommendations for improvement in the total rewards landscape.
  • At least 10+ years of progressive Total Rewards experience, including leadership roles in Life Sciences or Technology industries.
  • Global expertise is highly preferred, with direct experience managing employee benefits and compensation programs across multiple countries
  • Life Science or Technology Industry experience with knowledge of industry-standard certifications (e.g., CEBS, CCP).
