Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician to provide exemplary care to patients in a dynamic and supportive environment. This vital role offers the opportunity to work both onsite and via telehealth, delivering compassionate symptom management and end-of-life care. Your expertise will ensure patients receive dignity, comfort, and personalized treatment throughout their journey.
Required Skills:
- Active Oregon Medical License and DEA registration
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency
- Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine strongly preferred
- Proven experience in hospice and palliative care settings
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and empathy
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work onsite, with some telehealth options
- Willingness to participate in shared call responsibilities, including evenings and weekends
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in outpatient and inpatient hospice settings
- Familiarity with telehealth technology
- BLS certification
- Experience with complex symptom Management and crisis visits
- Ability to handle a variable caseload with professionalism and compassion
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Significant clinical experience in hospice and palliative medicine
- Experience working in hospital or private practice settings
- Strong understanding of ethical issues in end-of-life care
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to work onsite as needed, with potential for later onsite requirement
- Availability for approximately 4-6 night calls and one weekend per month
- Ability to respond to complex patient needs during emergency and crisis situations
- Valid Oregon medical license, DEA registration, and BLS certification
