Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician (Telehealth) Join Our Compassionate Team

We are seeking skilled Hospice and Palliative Medicine providers to deliver high-quality telehealth services in the Portland area. Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active Oregon Medical License (OR) and Oregon DEA; Washington License (WA) and WA DEA are also required for treating patients in southwest WA area.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine within 5 years of residency.
• Extensive hospice experience is mandatory if board eligible in FM or IM.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Proven proficiency in telehealth platform utilization, crisis management, and patient assessment.
  Other Essential Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle complex patient situations with empathy and professionalism.

Ideal Additional Skills

• Experience managing high-acuity hospice patients.
• Previous work in rural or underserved areas.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems specific to hospice care.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years hospice and palliative care experience, preferably in telehealth settings.
• Prior experience treating diverse patient populations.

Other Requirements

• Willingness to work Monday through Friday, with call responsibilities including 4-6 nights per month and approximately one weekend per month.
• Call sharing arrangements with Portland and Medford providers.
• Guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per day, with overtime applicable after 9 hours.
• Hourly pay rate of $1.00 bids should be competitive and reflect quality and rates.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying patient loads, including symptom management, crisis visits, and inpatient admits.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care through telehealth platforms.
