House Sitter – Job Description Location: Omaha, NE Position Type: Temporary / As Needed Compensation: $60–$90 per day (depending on duties and duration) Overview Hey there! I'm Kelly, a homeowner here in Omaha, Nebraska. I’m seeking a reliable and responsible House Sitter to care for a private home while the homeowner is away. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing basic household and pet care duties. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the home’s security by locking doors, checking alarms, and maintaining a lived-in appearance.
• Provide pet care (feeding, walking, cleaning, administering medication) as instructed.
• Handle mail and deliveries, bringing in packages and forwarding urgent items as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping such as tidying, vacuuming, and taking out trash.
• Water plants and maintain indoor/outdoor greenery.
• Monitor for any maintenance issues (leaks, outages, etc.) and report immediately.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and maintain open communication with the homeowner.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven reliability and trustworthiness (references preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of home maintenance and safety procedures.
• Experience caring for pets is an advantage.
• Must be available for overnight stays if required.

Preferred Qualities

• Prior experience in house sitting, pet sitting, or property care.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable using mobile apps for check-ins or communication.
• Flexible and dependable, with a calm, problem-solving attitude.
