Job Summary: The HVAC Apprentice is responsible for assisting in proper operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment. This includes but is not limited to: chillers, cooling towers, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, ancillary support equipment, water treatment, controls and BMS/EMS.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned. Management also reserves the right to change or modify this position description from time to time to meet the needs of the site and/or building(s)
Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
Assist in responding to all HVAC trouble calls and troubleshoot the systems to meet the operational and comfort needs of the building(s) occupants, where applicable.
Assist in working with engineers, contractors and consultants in evaluating the proper operation of the building systems.
Assist in troubleshooting HVAC equipment and controls to determine problems and perform necessary repairs.
Assist in maintaining HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance program.
Assist in performing other related duties as assigned, assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs.
Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule.
Completes work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
