General Summary:

Sort, collect and distribute mail and small packages between on-campus buildings

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort and distribute mail and small packages by department/building - both incoming and outgoing
• Weigh mail to determine the correct postage
• Stamp out-going mail
• Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Maintains a high level of confidentiality
• Maintains a high level of personal and professional flexibility
• Experience working with student health needs preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have own transportation - paid mileage at IRS rate

Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 75% walking, and 15% standing and significant finger dexterity in order to operate a two-way radio and needs appropriate hearing to understand radio communication and appropriate vocalization to be understood over the two-way radio and/or in person. Operate recreation equipment with dexterity and in a safe and efficient manner. Able to work in an indoor and outdoor work environment subject to varying weather conditions; walk on uneven surfaces / terrain. Requires bending, crouching and kneeling to assist students; pushing/pulling and lifting of recreation equipment; standing/walking for prolonged periods of time; occasional running and jumping; and reaching in all directions. Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.

Days/Hours: Follows the school calendar, plus an additional two weeks prior to the start of school and one week after school has been let out for the summer. One hour a day, two days per week. This position would work well with a noon supervisor position.

Rate of Pay: Per ESP Contract
