Position Summary

We are seeking a Legal Assistant to join our team. While legal experience is preferred, we are also open to candidates with medical or healthcare experience who are looking to transition into the legal field. This position plays a vital role in supporting our attorneys by managing case files, communicating with clients, and organizing medical and legal documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies
• Collect, organize, and summarize medical records and bills
• Prepare demand letters and case summaries
• Draft and file legal documents under attorney supervision
• Maintain and update case management systems and calendars
• Schedule appointments, depositions, and court dates
• Support attorneys with trial preparation and client communication
• Perform other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

Preferred but not required:

• Prior experience in a law firm, especially in personal injury law

Required:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Team player with a professional and empathetic demeanor
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
