A growing law firm is seeking Civil Litigation Attorneys to join its insurance defense practice. Open to candidates ranging from junior to senior levels , this role offers the opportunity to work on diverse civil litigation matters, gain trial experience, and be part of a collaborative team committed to professional growth and client service.

The firm represents a wide range of clients in insurance defense and general liability matters. Attorneys will manage their own caseloads with support from experienced partners, paralegals, and staff. Candidates with initiative, strong litigation skills, and an interest in courtroom work will thrive in this environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of civil litigation from case inception through resolution.
• Manage discovery, draft pleadings and motions, and conduct depositions.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and trials as appropriate.
• Work closely with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members to provide strategic case management.
• Independently handle caseloads commensurate with experience (junior associates average 20 cases; senior associates 35–40).
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on professional development and trial excellence.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
• 1–10+ years of civil litigation experience (insurance defense preferred).
• Mid-level and senior candidates must have deposition experience; trial experience is a plus .
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
• Collaborative mindset with a desire to mentor or be mentored.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

• Work Schedule: Full-time.
• Remote Flexibility:
• Fully remote available for experienced litigators with case management experience from inception to resolution.
• Junior attorneys will work three days per week onsite in the Irvine or San Diego office.
• Compensation: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits and performance incentives.
