Lead Maintenance Engineer
This cutting-edge aerospace startup is capturing high-resolution Earth imagery from near space. With a proprietary platform launched between 40,000–60,000 feet, they’re changing how the world sees our planet.
They’re now hiring a Head of Fleet Readiness to ensure their robotic units are flight-ready at all times. This is a core leadership role reporting to the CTO, perfect for someone who thrives in high-ownership, fast-paced environments.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Building and leading a 4–5 person reliability team
- Setting up a new in-house maintenance and repair space
- Diagnosing faults and identifying recurring failure patterns
- Collaborating with Engineering, Ops, and R&D teams
- Driving process improvement, flight-readiness testing, and post-flight analysis
The ideal candidate has:
- 8+ years in reliability, maintenance, or hardware production roles
- Background in robotics, UAVs, aerospace, automotive, or similar
- Experience leading teams in technical environments
- A hands-on approach and a willingness to wear multiple hats
