Accounting and Finance Manager

New York City (Hybrid)

Salary Range: $100,000–$120,000 + Profit Share Plan +_ 4 weeks PTO + Health Benefits

We are currently partnered with an international CPG organisation that is seeking a detail-driven, innovative Accounting and Finance Manager to join their collaborative finance and operations team. What You’ll Do:

Month-End Close & Reporting

• Lead month-end close activities and general ledger entries, including artist royalties
• Deliver monthly reporting packages with variance analysis and executive summaries
• Maintain GAAP-compliant balance sheet schedules and reserve account analysis

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Support budgeting and reforecasting cycles
• Manage cash flow projections and analysis

Financial Analysis

• Use Dynamics NAV and Power BI to manage data and build dashboards
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance

Audit & Compliance

• Prepare audit/tax schedules and support annual audits
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal policies
• Liaise with banks, auditors, and insurance brokers

Process Improvement

• Enhance system integration, automation, and financial reporting processes
• Contribute to special projects, upgrades, and implementations

Team Leadership

• Mentor junior staff and encourage growth
• Partner cross-functionally to drive data-informed decisions

About You:

• 6–8 years of accounting experience in wholesale and/or retail with inventory
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and ERP systems
• Excel expert (Pivot Tables, X/VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Highly organized, analytical, and communicative
• Eager to improve systems and support a positive team culture
