NATURAL GAS SUPERVISOR
The City of Cuba is currently seeking applications for a Natural Gas Supervisor.

Primary purpose:
· Provide supervisory leadership to crews in assigned geographic area
· Responsible for the safety and environmental programs, compliance with company procedures and government regulations, development and management of the budgets, employee training and development and overview of administrative functions of relevant to the work
· Level commensurate with experience and skill set
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Oversees the operation and maintenance of our assets to ensure their safe, reliable, and efficient operation
· Ensures the implementation and enforcement of all city guidelines, policies and procedures
· Responsible for safety program, environmental compliance, governmental compliance, employee training and development, facility security and personnel functions
· Provide leadership and oversee training of personnel
· Manage, plan, and forecast the budgets for the area of responsibility
· Participate in the development of site-specific procedures, project scopes, and work plans
· Conduct performance evaluations of work center personnel
· Set the objectives for the capital budgets for area of responsibility and reviews the status monthly forecasting additional needs that arise during the fiscal year
· Reviews progress, directs changes in priorities and schedules as needed to assure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner
· Perform all work in compliance with City standards, procedures, regulatory requirements
· Develops short and long-term plans, goals, and objectives within the area of operations
· Remains current on developments in the field
· Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations affecting natural gas operations
· Ensures current security measures protect city assets while preserving the safety of the public and city personnel
· Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns

Position requirements:
Education:
· Minimum: High school diploma or GED
· Preferred: A two or four year college degree in a mechanical or technical area
Experience:
· Knowledge of the natural gas installation, maintenance, safety procedures and reporting process within a city or township is mandatory
· Prior supervisory experience and/or minimum of five years experience in the natural gas industry
· Prior experience using a backhoe, trencher, and skid-steer
Certifications, licenses, and registrations:
· Possess a valid drivers license and meet company insurability requirements
· May be required to possess a commercial drivers license, drive company commercial vehicles and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations
Competencies, skills, and abilities:
· Ability to plan, organize, document, prioritize and complete work efficiently
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage crews at multiple locations and perform multiple tasks daily
· Good communication skills
· Strong commitment to safety and have active participation in the safety program
· Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)
· Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software)
· Perform all work in compliance with City, State, & Federal standards, procedures, and regulations
· Must be able to work with a team, take direction from managers, keep required work schedules, keep attention to details, and follow directions
