About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting physician compensation, payroll, and personnel management within a large healthcare organization. You will be an integral part of a team managing approximately 1500 physicians, with a busy season typically running from June to January. This is an onsite position that requires working in a patient access building more than 50% of the time. Parking is available in a garage/lot.
Location: Fontana, CA (Onsite - 9961 Sierra Ave., Fontana, CA 92335)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: ASAP- end of 2025 to begin/possible extension/apply for perm positions
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation / Payroll / Personnel Management: Conduct data collection and analysis for physician base salary programs, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Administer and implement pay practices, ensuring appropriate interpretation of pay practices and Board of Directors (BOD) rules. Work with area payroll coordinators to ensure personnel actions are documented and entered correctly. Maintain the physician HR/payroll database and monitor data integrity.
- Onboarding / Offboarding Physicians: Support the full lifecycle of physician personnel, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Reporting & Analysis: Produce management reports, research issues and questions using historical files, and make recommendations based on analysis. Provide analytic support on compensation programs and policies.
- Inquiry Resolution: Respond to physician inquiries regarding salaries, deductions, overtime pay, and research and reconcile discrepancies on physician paychecks and direct deposits.
- System Enhancement & Policy Interpretation: Participate in the development and implementation of new systems and databases relating to physician compensation. Resolve data processing problems and work with information technology for programming support. Interpret, document, and communicate physician payroll policies to physicians and management, recommending clarification of policy problems.

Required Skills & Experience:
- High School Diploma (HSD) is required.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in payroll, and ideally within a healthcare setting.
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with formulas and pivot tables (this will be assessed via an Excel test).
- Strong personnel management and communication skills.
- Strong email correspondence abilities.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College Degree.
- Experience with MD People, MDTRV, or PHR Connect systems is a plus (all systems are proprietary).
