Job Title: Order SelectorJob Description

The Order Selector is responsible for selecting Sales or Production Orders using a handheld device or other method safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders according to the pick tickets assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring the accuracy of item number, quantity, lot, and unit of measure.
• Utilize RF Scanner and other WMS tools for proper order picking.
• Perform visual inspections of products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Stage small parcel orders for checking and shipping as needed.
• Build and stage acceptable pallets for freight orders for checking and shipping.
• Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, reporting any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Assist in unloading goods and in physical inventory as needed.
• Ensure compliance with processes and procedures, meeting productivity, quality, and safety metrics.
• Maintain warehouse documentation and suggest improvements for operations.
• Keep a clean, sanitary working environment, ensuring the warehouse is 'visitor ready.'
• Adhere to company policies and provide high-quality customer service.
• Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries.
• Secure the warehouse prior to departure at the end of the day.
• Work overtime as needed and perform other duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.

Essential Skills

• Ability to use WMS applications and hardware efficiently.
• Capability to be trained on a forklift/reach lift.
• Proficiency in using a baler and RF scanner.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Proficiency in MS Applications and the ability to learn new software easily.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A 'can do' attitude is essential.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and climb ladders.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a non-climate-controlled warehouse, with temperature variations based on external conditions. The environment is noisy due to machinery and equipment. Employees are required to wear a safety vest and any other necessary safety equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
