Pediatric Palliative Care Physician Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Pediatric Palliative Care physician to offer empathetic support to children and their families in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home environments. This position emphasizes enhancing quality of life and involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The role also includes academic responsibilities, such as mentoring medical students and fellows. Candidates should be board-certified or eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care, with a focus on clinical and educational activities primarily located in Indiana.

Our esteemed pediatric health program is in search of a Pediatric Palliative Care physician to provide compassionate care throughout the continuum for children and families in Indiana.

Position Overview: Join a consultative medical team composed of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and social workers committed to enhancing patients' quality of life while offering essential support and resources to families.

  • A well-established program with extensive clinical opportunities in both inpatient and outpatient settings, fostering a culture that values palliative care.
  • A highly proficient Pediatric Palliative Care team that embodies compassion, empathy, patience, and presence as fundamental approaches.
  • Faculty appointment as a Clinician Educator with the Indiana University School of Medicine, engaging in the training of medical students, residents, and palliative care fellows.
  • Approximately 75% of the role will be inpatient, with 25% dedicated to outpatient and academic/admin responsibilities.
  • Shared on-call responsibilities among providers.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Pediatric Palliative Care Fellowship.
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine.
  • Both new graduates and seasoned professionals are encouraged to apply.
  • MD/DO with a valid medical license in Indiana or eligibility for licensure.
