Join our team as a night shift, full-time, Adult Psychiatric Unit-A Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Albuquerque, NM.

• Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care, including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology, and oncology services.

Learn About a Day in the Life of a PCT:

• Work under the moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform all necessary duties, which include assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests. 
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Have BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into the position

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification, which includes BLS, or currently enrolled in nursing school
• Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care
• Experience in Phlebotomy or completion of a Phlebotomy course.
• Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
