MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-oriented Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA . In this role, you will lead cyber solution development and deployment in support of mission-critical cybersecurity operations. You will ensure the quality, reliability, and effectiveness of cyber solution components and work collaboratively within a high-performing technical team dedicated to securing our nation’s most sensitive systems.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and support Identity and Access Management (IAM) services, including directory, access, identity, and privileged access management functions.
Manage and maintain infrastructure in cloud and virtualized environments.
Perform system upgrades and patches across Linux and Windows platforms.
Design, engineer, and deploy Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.
Lead Continuous Monitoring (CONMON) activities to ensure system compliance and security posture.
Maintain system Authority to Operate (ATO) in alignment with cybersecurity standards and frameworks.
Provide timely status reporting and documentation within an Agile delivery environment.
Deliver periodic after-hours support as mission needs require.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
7+ years of professional experience in information technology or cybersecurity.
Hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows operating environments.
Proficiency with LDAP directories and database management.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience implementing and maintaining Privileged Access Management (PAM) tools.
Familiarity with Ansible and developing automation playbooks.
Working knowledge of PKI principles and Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
Experience operating in Agile and DevOps environments.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
May occasionally move about the office to access files, equipment, or collaborate with colleagues.
Must be able to communicate effectively through various channels (in-person, email, phone, or virtual meetings), including the ability to deliver technical presentations.
