Job Description

This is a continuous recruitment position and is part-time, non-benefited. The primary responsibility of the Modlin Center for the Arts Pro House Manager is to oversee the safety and security of 600 patrons before, during, and after performances in the Modlin Center venues. The House Manager supervises all front-of-house staffing and operations for Modlin Center events. The Pro House Manager is the primary point of communication between various Modlin Center staff members at events. Required Qualifications include excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, crisis management skills, excellent organizational skills, and proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred qualifications include a retail or service background, ability to use a Motorola two-way communication device, email, shared drives, electronic filing systems, Macintosh computer, and Microsoft Office Suite for Macintosh. Education & Experience required: High school diploma or educational equivalent, minimum two years of professional experience in house management, retail experience or experience working with the public. Work hours: This is a temporary part-time position that works as needed, primarily evening and weekend hours with flexibility depending on the production schedule.
