Job Title: Protégé Agency Producer

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: Base (DOE) plus commission with bonus potential based on performance and program milestones.
• Graduate Bonus: $4,000 upon successful completion of the Protégé Agency Producer Program and full-time appointment as a Farmers agency owner.
• Program Duration: Up to 12 months to complete training and meet eligibility requirements.

Job Overview

The Protégé Agency Producer Program offers motivated individuals a pathway to build a rewarding career as an insurance agency owner.

As a Protégé, you will work under an experienced Farmers® agency owner to gain hands-on experience in sales, client relations, and business management. Through mentorship and the University of Farmers® training curriculum, you will develop the skills needed to successfully run your own agency within one year.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and a desire to take control of their professional future.

Responsibilities

• Support agency operations, including client engagement, renewals, and service activities.
• Prospect, network, and develop new client relationships to grow the agency’s book of business.
• Learn and apply Farmers Insurance sales systems, processes, and compliance standards.
• Participate in training and development programs designed to prepare you for agency ownership.
• Obtain and maintain required insurance licenses (Property & Casualty prior to start; Life & Health before graduation).
• Uphold Farmers’ commitment to integrity, customer service, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Licensing: Property & Casualty license required before start date; Life & Health licenses required before program completion.
• Background Check: Must pass a satisfactory agency staff background screening.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong desire for business ownership.
• Goal-driven, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.

Program Path & Bonus

Upon completion of the Protégé Agency Producer Program and signing an Agent Appointment Agreement, graduates are eligible for a $4,000 bonus and the opportunity to open a Farmers agency with waived capital requirements.
