About the role: Our client is seeking an intelligent and resourceful Recruiter with HR knowledge to lead US recruiting efforts alongside a small global HR team. As a Recruiter, you will manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.

Responsibilities for the Recruiter:

Recruitment:

  • Source and attract candidates via social media, job boards, and placement agencies.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting to expand the candidate pipeline.
  • Utilize Boolean Logic, x-raying, and networking to find the best suitable candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to write and manage job descriptions.
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews.
  • Manage the entire hiring process end-to-end.
  • Oversee onboarding of new employees.
  • Serve as the main point of contact with recruitment agencies.

Human Resources:

  • Manage additional HR activities in the NY office, aligning HR strategies with the global team.
  • Advise and assist staff and management on employment standards and legislation, including workers' compensation, labor laws, benefits, etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with employees to understand internal processes, needs, and issues.
  • Liaise with management on employee relations issues.
  • Ensure HR processes and procedures align with HR directives.
  • Support company well-being initiatives, such as happy hours and activities.
  • Participate in cross-HR projects.

Ideal Requirements for the Recruiter:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Recruiter in hi-tech or startup companies.
  • Proven sourcing experience for customer-facing roles (Marketing, Sales, etc.).
  • Excellent communicator, team player, hardworking, independent, and personable.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other social media recruitment tools.
  • Can-do attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of US Employment Law.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field; Masters degree is a plus.
