Description:

A collaborative and inclusive school district in Fresno/Clovis area is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to join their team for the 20252026 school year . This full-time, school-based opportunity is ideal for experienced interpreters who are passionate about providing equitable munication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. The ideal candidate will be skilled in American Sign Language (ASL), fortable interpreting in a variety of educational settings, and mitted to supporting student engagement and academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services in ASL or other appropriate modes of munication

• Support Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across K12 classrooms and school-related settings

• Facilitate effective munication between students, educators, and peers

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to educational interpreting standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree preferred)

• EIPA score of 3.5 or higher or RID certification (as required by California districts)

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and understanding of Deaf culture

• Must meet California Department of Education and local LEA requirements for educational interpreters

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
