The client has been a key contributor to the Ethereum ecosystem since 2015. The client's platform is an innovative Layer 1 Ethereum-derived appchain designed to tokenize and securely manage real-world assets, such as vaulted precious metals like gold and silver. It allows users to stake assets, borrow instantly against collateral, and earn governance points, ensuring asset backing, instant liquidity, and yield generation. Role Overview

The client is seeking an experienced Senior Blockchain Protocol/Platform Engineer to lead the development of their Ethereum-based appchain. This role involves enhancing blockchain infrastructure, consensus algorithms, smart contract execution environments, and cryptographic security features. The ideal candidate will play a key role in advancing the platform's capabilities and aligning its technical direction with the companys vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Protocol Design & Development:

  • Design, implement, and optimize blockchain protocols and platform architecture derived from Ethereum's Haskell client.

  • Develop secure, efficient, and scalable smart contracts to support real-world asset tokenization and DeFi functionalities.

• Core Blockchain Infrastructure:

  • Maintain and enhance the core blockchain client, focusing on consensus mechanisms, transaction validation, and cryptographic features.

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges.

• Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, security specialists, and protocol researchers.

  • Contribute to strategic planning and technical direction to ensure alignment with the product roadmap.

• Documentation & Best Practices:

  • Document protocol specifications, architectural designs, and engineering processes comprehensively.

  • Ensure adherence to blockchain security best practices throughout development.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Blockchain Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience developing production-level blockchain solutions.

  • Proven expertise with Ethereum protocol and experience with Ethereum clients, ideally Haskell-based clients.

• Programming Skills:

  • Proficiency in Haskell, Rust, Go, or other functional/system programming languages.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of blockchain architectures, consensus protocols (e.g., PoS, PoW), smart contract design, and cryptographic algorithms.

  • Experience developing decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols involving staking, lending, or collateralized debt positions.

• Problem-Solving:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects.

• Experience with blockchain security audits and best practices.

• Familiarity with Layer 1 blockchain architectures, scalability solutions, and interoperability standards.

• Knowledge of AI development tools for accelerating coding efficiency.
