DLP Staffing & Temp Services LLC is currently accepting applications for the position of:
POSITION TITLE: Skilled Laborer

Location: Uvalde, TX

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Hire Pay: $17.25 per hour

Classification: Temporary or Temp-To-Hire

JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking dependable and experienced Skilled Laborers to assist with a variety of construction-related tasks at an active job site in Uvalde, TX. This role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on, safety-conscious, and familiar with construction environments. Tasks may include assisting carpenters, using hand and power tools, and performing general job site labor duties.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Performs tasks involving physical labor at construction sites.
• Uses hand and power tools to perform a variety of construction duties.
• Assists with framing, demolition, site prep, and material handling.
• Follows instructions to complete job assignments safely and effectively.
• Moves, secures, installs, and loads/unloads materials as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe job site.
• Performs other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous construction or skilled labor experience required.
• Knowledge of basic construction practices and tool use.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read, understand, and enforce safety procedures.
• Able to lift, push/pull, and carry heavy materials (up to 55 pounds).
• Must own or be willing to obtain steel-toe boots.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
The supervisor provides formal supervision. The position requires independent completion of tasks and good judgment in day-to-day duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position requires physical labor both indoors and outdoors, in varying weather and job site conditions. Must be comfortable working in construction zones.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Staffing & Temp Services LLC maintains a Drug-Free Workplace Policy, which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass a background check.
