Job Overview: Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse to join the Stepdown Neuro unit for night shift coverage. This role provides critical care to patients transitioning from intensive care, particularly those with neurological conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and protocols
• Monitor neurological status and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop care plans
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and regulations
• Provide compassionate support in a high-acuity environment

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina or compact license
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Stepdown, Neuro, or ICU settings preferred
• Strong assessment skills with an understanding of neurological diagnoses
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Cerner electronic health record (EHR) experience required
• Flexibility, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt in a travel assignment
