AlliedTravelCareers is working with Infojini Healthcare to find a qualified Pharmacist in Lamar, Colorado, 81052!Pay Information$2,715 per weekAbout The PositionID: 55352126 Shift: M-F 8:00-5:00 Description: JOB SUMMARY Pharmacist will work as part of a team to assist in the monitoring of clinical/pharmacy services and medication therapies; Assures the safe, efficacious, and cost-effective drug therapy for all patients. Reviews and assesses medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drug related safety issues; Recommends formulary alternatives when appropriate; Compounds and dispenses medications according to orders issued by an authorized prescriber. General Description Assures appropriate selection and dispensing of medication orders; Oversees and supervises activities of Pharmacy Technicians; Provide patient care services including but not limited to antimicrobial stewardship, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing; Maintains security of pharmacy and controlled substances; Provides drug information and education to medical staff and patients; Communicates with providers as necessary to facilitate care; Performs operational/clinical functions or projects as assigned. Responsibility Prowers Medical Center is a critical access hospital serving southeast CO. The pharmacy team cares for patients in the areas of ER, med/surg, obstetrics, surgery, and outpatient infusion, including oncology patients. The Pharmacist is responsible and accountable for the safe, effective, and prompt mediation therapy for all patients. The pharmacist will be a crucial part of the healthcare team in each of these areas, providing pharmacy expertise to providers and nursing. The pharmacist is responsible for the full scope of pharmacy services, which includes reviewing medication orders and dispensing medications accurately, supervising pharmacy technicians; maintaining security of medications and the pharmacy; following the laws, rules and regulations that govern the practice of pharmacy. The pharmacist will compound sterile medications, following all appropriate USP 797 and USP 800 guidelines. The pharmacist will be involved with facility activities including: contributing to medication safety initiatives, participating in hospital committees; participating in quality improvement projects; performing operation/ clinical functions or projects as assigned; utilizing time and resources effectively. The pharmacist will maintain professional interactions with patients, caregivers, and other healthcare professions. Special Demands Mental: Moderate to high stress. Ability to adjust and interact with a wide variety of job situations involving many different people and projects. Physical: Long periods of standing, walking, and lifting. Exposure to blood and body fluids, unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible. Qualifications Full Colorado licensure to engage in the Practice of Pharmacy Equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.
