Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring a CA license, trauma ICU experience, and night shifts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Trauma ICU of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adolescents through geriatrics
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2
• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (18:45–07:15)
• Floating required within service line
• Uses Cerner EMR; prior Cerner experience required
• Responsibilities include management of multi-system organ failure, acute stroke, post-neurosurgery recovery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Skills required include arterial line and central line care, CVVHD/CRRT, ventilator management, ICP monitoring, and use of hypothermia protocols
• Must be proficient with phlebotomy, wound care, blood product administration, sedation, and ventilated patient care
• Assist with procedural tasks such as chest tube insertion and removal
• Required to utilize PPE and follow strict infection prevention protocols
• Request for time off must be included at the time of initial consideration

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Trauma ICU experience
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC or TCAR
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB
• Cerner charting experience required
• Previous ICU and trauma experience required
• Not accepting first-time travelers
• COVID vaccination required
