Vice President of Accounting and Finance

An East Coast health care company has an opportunity to lead its accounting and finance operations. This role is responsible for all accounting operations as well as ensuring the organization's financial health through strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial compliance. This high-visibility role will lead initiatives that align with the company's mission to deliver personalized, professional care that enhances the quality of life for patients and families. This role is remote - East Coast candidates preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Manage internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management
• Oversee cash flow management and treasury functions
• Develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational growth and sustainability.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the President and executive team for strategic decision-making.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership to optimize billing, collections, and reimbursements
• Maintain strict adherence to all financial regulations, including federal and state healthcare reimbursement requirements (Medicare, Medicaid).
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive financial leadership, preferably in home and hospice
• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models, Medicare/Medicaid regulations
• Prior experience with a PE-owned company preferred
