• Extensive experience with PHP Development 5+ years
• Experience with WordPress Development 5+ years
• Experience reviewing existing code to diagnose and repair issues related to missing WordPress login PHP files 5+ years
• Experience restoring the login functionality for administrative and content management access 5+ years
• Identify problematic custom PHP code, outdated plugins, and legacy configurations that contribute to website instability, applying fixes as necessary 5+ years

Responsibilities

• IMMEDIATE need to get the NCDNCR/NC Museum of Natural Sciences (NCMNS) website up and running again; candidates must be available immediately for the duration of the engagement.
• Support to NC Museum of Natural Sciences (NCMNS) website to restore access and functionality.
• Website Access Restoration: Diagnose and repair issues related to the missing WordPress login PHP file, restoring login functionality for administrative and content management access.
• Static Pages Restoration: Diagnose and repair issues related to the inability to make live changes to the static portions of the site.
• Codebase Stabilization: Identify problematic custom PHP code, outdated plugins, and legacy configurations that contribute to website instability, applying fixes as necessary to support ongoing use.
• Content Management Support: Make minor updates to improve navigation and usability where feasible, given the current structure, to facilitate better access for public users and ease of content management.
• Short-Term Maintenance Recommendations: Provide guidance on maintaining the website's operability over the short term, including essential updates and monitoring for potential points of failure.
• Documentation: Document repairs, temporary fixes, or recommendations for the NCMNS team to maintain site functionality and address minor issues.
