Overview

At Milton Rents, we pride ourselves on being a leader in the heavy equipment rental industry. We're looking for a skilled Yard Technician/Class D Driver who is passionate and eager to make a difference. If you have a knack for maintaining a clean, safe yard and shop, inspecting equipment, managing check ins/out, and performing minor repairs on equipment, we want you on our team!

Pay Range: $24.87 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Report equipment condition before/after use.
• Assist with inspections, repairs, maintenance, and cleaning.
• Load/unload and refuel equipment.
• Deliver/pick up small equipment or supplies.
• Document check-in/out details and verify fuel consumption.
• Assist Inside Sales with rental-ready equipment.
• Greet and assist customers and delivery drivers.
• Maintain equipment inventory systems.

• Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Customer Service: Outstanding interpersonal skills and a customer-first attitude.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to embrace new technology (cell phones, iPads, CRM, etc.).
• Eager to Learn: A hunger for knowledge and the ability to apply new skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid medical card or ability to pass DOT physical exam.
• General knowledge of construction equipment.
• Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Sit/stand for long periods with frequent bending.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
