Job Description

Role: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with Golden Gate and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL

Location: Dallas, TX [Hybrid]

Duration: 6+ Months

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases in a high-availability environment.
• Implement and manage Oracle Golden Gate for real-time data replication and integration between databases.
• Administer and optimize Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL databases to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Perform database tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the development team to optimize SQL queries and database design for better performance.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database administration.
• Create and maintain documentation for database systems, configurations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle 12c and above.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Golden Gate for real-time data replication.
• Solid understanding of Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in SQL tuning and optimization.
• Experience with database security and compliance.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Oracle and AWS certifications are a plus.
