Job Description

Avum seeks a skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle databases to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Install and upgrade database servers and application tools, ensuring that the latest versions are in use.
• Allocate system storage requirements.
• Modify the database structure as required, following input from application developers.
• Enforce policies and procedures for database security and integrity.
• Manage user access permissions and privileges.
• Monitor system performance and implement changes for optimization.
• Performing regular database backups to ensure data recovery.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as debugging, performance tuning, and creating database reports.
• Performs database and software life-cycle activities to ensure the highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.
• Applies advanced methods, theories, and search techniques in the investigation and solution of the complex system requirements and problems.
• Document database specifications and performance to facilitate troubleshooting and future development initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizenship with active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
• Ability to be onsite 100% in Chantilly, VA in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
• 10+ years of experience as Oracle database administrator.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Computing (private or public).
• Experienced with Oracle Engineered Systems.
• Oracle Certified Professional.
