Job Description

Job Summary: Mike Bass Ford is seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team in Sheffield Village, Ohio. This is a full-time flat rate position in the auto industry, and the individual will be responsible for performing collision repairs on our customers' vehicles. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this role is $20 to $30 per hour, paid weekly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental coverage, paid time off, and a 401k plan. Responsibilities:

  • Perform body repairs, including dent removal, welding, and panel replacement, according to manufacturer specifications
  • Repair or replace damaged body parts, such as doors, fenders, bumpers, and hoods
  • Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, priming, and masking
  • Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components related to body repairs, such as lights, mirrors, and windows
  • Communicate with employees to explain repairs and provide estimates
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a body shop technician
  • Must be able to read and interpret repair manuals and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of body repair techniques, including welding
  • Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Team player with good communication and customer service skills
  • Must hold a valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
