We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of production, shipping and receiving, maintenance, and packaging operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and product quality.


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee and manage our Facilities Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving, Packaging, and Logistics departments. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, compliance with food safety and regulatory standards, and driving overall cost-effectiveness across the facility.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a track record of optimizing workflows, motivating teams, and implementing sustainable improvements in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all operational areas, including shipping and receiving, maintenance, production, and final packaging.

  • Ensure all operations comply with USDA, FDA, GMPs, and other applicable regulatory standards.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and safety.

  • Coordinate workflow across departments to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

  • Manage and mentor supervisors and department leads, fostering accountability and teamwork.

  • Monitor equipment, coordinate maintenance schedules, and ensure proper upkeep of all machinery and facilities.

  • Maintain accurate operational records, production reports, and KPIs.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and maintain high-quality standards.

  • Ensure proper staffing levels and support recruitment, training, and development of operations personnel.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in food manufacturing or a related regulated industry.

  • Strong knowledge of USDA, FDA, and GMP requirements.

  • Proven experience managing multiple departments, including shipping/receiving, maintenance, and packaging operations.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
