SC Pay Band 03 $28,060 - $39,991 - $51,923

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES In this challenging role, you will be supporting the INV - Inventory Control department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
Job Summary: Under limited supervision, this position serves as a point of contact for Mail Center and Central Receiving Facility operations, including shipping and receiving functions. The role involves sorting and processing large volumes of mail, as well as collecting, transporting, and delivering time-sensitive correspondence within an assigned geographic area.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct daily shipping and receiving activities at the mail center and central receiving facility.
• Coordinate and process large volumes of incoming and outgoing mail.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver time-sensitive materials across designated locations.
• Ensure timely preparation and distribution of inbound and outbound freight and equipment.
• Operate various vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, cargo vans, and box trucks, for warehouse and delivery tasks.
• Assist with clerical tasks such as report generation, directory updates, logistics coordination, and inventory management.
• Support the Supply Manager in scheduling and executing the removal of surplus equipment.
• Assist in the delivery and setup of tables and chairs across all college campuses as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A high school diploma and work experience in postal, courier or delivery operations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of the various types of mail and the proper handling of each type. Knowledge of the United States Postal Service regulations, policies, and practices. Experience in USPS mailing procedures. Experience preparing/shipping freight with FedEx and UPS software. The ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted. The ability to drive and operate a box truck with liftgate. A valid Driver's License without any major incidents. Forklift Certification. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience operating warehouse equipment and delivery vehicles. Strong organizational and time management skills. Basic computer proficiency for clerical and reporting duties. Associates degree
